Hands-on teacher training with AA Teamworks SCITT

As part of Great Heights Academy Trust, AA Teamworks SCITT plays a central role in our commitment to developing the next generation of outstanding teachers, delivering Department for Education-accredited, school-centred initial teacher training.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to train exceptional teachers with the confidence, knowledge and passion to transform children’s lives.

Working in close partnership with our Trust schools and a wider network of educational settings, AA Teamworks SCITT delivers hands-on, school-based training across West Yorkshire – with partner schools in Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax and the surrounding areas. From the very start, trainees gain first-hand experience in real classrooms, developing the skills, confidence, and professional expertise they need to thrive in the profession.

AA Teamworks delivers both Primary and Secondary teacher training, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with the option to add a PGCE through the University of Huddersfield.

  • Leaders have developed a high-quality training programme that successfully serves both the needs of trainees and of the wider local area. Leaders’ long-established vision to nurture excellent teachers is tangible.
  • Trainees benefit from exemplary training in early reading and phonics. Highly experienced and inspirational trainers lead high-quality training.
  • There is highly effective communication between course leaders, mentors and trainees.
