Welcome to Great Heights Academy Trust
Our name reflects our ambition – to help every child, every member of staff and every school in our Trust reach their full potential.
Over the past two years, we have tripled in size, now educating around 4,500 students from early years through to post-16 and employing more than 700 staff across nine schools. This growth has not only strengthened our ability to support and challenge one another, but also deepened our culture of collaboration, high expectations and continuous improvement.
But our impact goes far beyond our own classrooms. Through our Research School, English Hub and AA Teamworks SCITT, and in direct partnership with the Department for Education, we have played a national role in shaping, supporting and strengthening the education system. Our work has helped to improve outcomes in hundreds of schools, particularly in areas facing significant challenge. Read more about our national and regional work here.
What sets Great Heights apart is not just what we do, but how we do it. We are a Trust that listens, that learns and that leads with integrity and thorough accountability.
Whether we are supporting a new teacher, designing a national programme, or improving a struggling school, our approach remains the same: evidence-informed, values-driven and relentlessly focused on making a difference for pupils.
We also recognise that excellent outcomes for pupils depend on the adults who support them. That’s why we are committed to attracting, developing and retaining the very best people – creating a working environment where all staff are supported to grow professionally and thrive personally. Whether you’re an experienced leader seeking a values-aligned Trust, or someone early in your career looking for development and opportunity, we believe in growing talent at every level.
Thank you for visiting our website – we hope it gives you a sense of the depth, breadth and passion of the work we do, and how we continually strive to achieve excellence together.

It has been a privilege to be part of the growth of our MAT over the last few years. What lies at the heart of our ethos is a supportive system where all schools are encouraged to keep their own personal identity. Everyone’s professional development is valued, and collaboration is at the heart of all that we do. Networks of support exist across all roles within the school and staff wellbeing is of the utmost importance.
Helen Crowther
Executive Principal
Joining the Great Heights Academy Trust has provided us with opportunities to access research, school to school support, develop our staff and apply new strategies at Raynville that have resulted in an improvement to our attainment and progress. The networks that have been established ensure high quality resources and advice are shared effectively across the academies.

Executive Principal
AA Teamworks West Yorkshire SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training) is a leading provider of high-quality teacher training based in West Yorkshire. We work in partnership with schools across Calderdale, Leeds, Kirklees, and Bradford.
Our vision is simple yet powerful: to train exceptional teachers who possess the knowledge, skills, and passion to transform children’s lives. We believe the best way to achieve this is by immersing our trainees in real-world school environments, learning directly from experienced, practicing teachers. Our courses are delivered in schools, ensuring trainees gain hands-on experience and practical expertise from day one.
AA Teamworks SCITT is part of the Great Heights Academy Trust, which educates children from ages 2 to 18. The Trust comprises nine academy schools, as well as the Great Heights English Hub, Great Heights Research School, and Great Heights Partner Provision. These partnerships give us unique strengths, enabling us to draw upon a wealth of educational knowledge and expertise to the benefit of our pupils and our staff.
Great Heights Academy Trust strives to always provide an inspirational, positive and welcoming environment where there is a sense of pride and fun and where everyone works together with confidence, enthusiasm and mutual respect.
